His ways, not our ways.

It's the new year.

Why do I feel as if I am still living in the past?

It has been an eventful week, both personally and outwardly.

Overwhelmingly eventful.

There are many questions that I find myself not being able to answer.

"Why does God do this to us?"

"Where is He when He hurts?"

"How does a Christian respond to this?"

Instead of ending the year with celebration, this new year is filled with grief, silence, and solemnness.

Instead of grand countdown parties, the New Year is being ushered with questions, perplexity.

Let us begin a new year that God has blessed us,

With humility and repentence.

"But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?"
Jonah 3:8-9

Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.
Jonah 3:10
